Grand Crucifix d'Art Populaire (87 cm) - Bois Sculpté - Fin XIXe / Début XXe

Magnifique crucifix remarquable par ses dimensions importantes et son travail de sculpture naturaliste.
​
​Dimensions : 
Hauteur 87 cm, largeur 47 et profondeur 9 cm, une pièce de belle présence, idéale pour une décoration authentique.
​On remarquera, le tavail de sculpture en bois imitant l'écorce (esprit Forêt-Noire), ornée de motifs de feuilles de vigne et de grappes de raisin finement travaillés.
​Le Corpus (Christ) : la sculpture sur bois est très détaillée et présente une belle patine ancienne. On notera le réalisme de la couronne d'épines et des plaies (stigmates colorés encore visibles).
​Titulus au sommet portant l'inscription "I.N.R.I." sculpté en relief.
​
Objet dans son jus, témoignant de son ancienneté. Quelques manques sont à noter au niveau du feuillage (voir photos), ainsi qu'une patine d'usage sur le Christ qui lui confère tout son cachet et son authenticité. Structure solide.
