Description from the seller

A magnificent and elegant cabinet from the late Louis XVI period, also called the transition period.
Overgang naar de Empire. -> Transition to the Empire style.
Around 1785–1800
Gradually the style becomes a bit stricter - only the bottom drawer is curved.
Beautifully carved garlands on the doors.
On the cap a fretworked railing, which continues with the projecting corners to form small balconies.

The drawers have an interior made of quarter-sawn oak panels.
A very skilled piece of cabinetmaking of high quality.
It is called bloom mahogany, named after the grain pattern in the wood.

Very ample and practical interior with wide shelves and many drawers.
The height of the cabinet including the ornament is a maximum of 242 cm.
Without the railing it is 220 cm.

Original lock with a working key.

I ship only to EU countries.
Buyers outside the EU must arrange their own transport.
