Antique Shiwan brush pot, Chinese polychrome glazed terracotta. China, late 19th century, probably associated with the Qing Dynasty. The vase, on the front, features a sculptural scene with a large tree rising between rocks; on one side there is a figure in a traditional robe holding a fan, seated in the shade of the tree, and on the other a large dog with its mouth open and a huge urn on its head. The vase is in good condition and has a small chip on the left foot of the figure, and minor glaze losses due to wear over time. The piece comes from a private collection and was purchased by previous owners in China before 1930. Dimensions: 25.5 cm (h) x 20 x 15. Weight: approximately 3 kg.
