About Rum Botucal:
Rum Botucal is part of the Diplomático Rum family. The rum is produced in Venezuela by Destilerias Unidas SA (DUSA). Internationally, Rum Botucal is produced and sold under the name Ron Diplomático. Since 2012, this premium rum has been successful in the premium rum segment in Germany as Rum Botucal. It takes its name from a Venezuelan hacienda, whose name in turn derives from the indigenous word "botuka," meaning "green hill." This is where the high-quality sugarcane grows, which is used to produce the various rums. The base of Rum Botucal is Sugar Cane Honey, a syrup made from fresh sugarcane. This gives the different rums in the Rum Botucal family their distinctive aroma.
