Brass and bronze vintage log holder from Italy, dating to 1970–1980, attributed to Milo Baughman, 47 cm high, 32 cm wide, 40 cm deep, weighing 2 kg, in good used condition with minor signs of age.
Description from the seller
Splendid vintage log holder (or coal scuttle) in a classic style, ideal as a decorative element for fireplaces, stoves, or as a sought-after piece of rustic design.
The piece is made of metal and features a beautiful original patina that attests to its authenticity.
Details that make a difference:
• Shape: Characteristic "helmet" design with an asymmetrical edge.
• Craftsmanship: Edged with raised motifs and a sturdy central handle secured with original rivets.
• Versatility: Perfect for holding firewood, coal, but also as a classy magazine holder or planter for indoor plants.
• Condition: Excellent structural condition, with normal signs of wear that enhance its vintage charm (can be polished to a mirror finish or left with its natural patina).
A fantastic piece that perfectly adds to any home decor the typical splendor, glamour and gold of Hollywood Regency style, with a nod to Art Deco decadence and the practicality of Mid-Century Modern, with the signature metallic gold accents and the delightful lines and curves, as expressed by iconic designers and manufacturers like Maison Jansen, Maison Baguès and Milo Baughman.
