Limited edition reproduction drawing of Alfa Romeo's 'Piano di Forma' for the 33 Stradale (1967), at 1:10 scale, printed on A1 paper (84 × 59.4 cm), in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Copy on paper of the original Alfa Romeo drawing “Piano di forma” scale 1:10, printed in A1 format (84 cm x 59.4 cm), for the 33 Stradale year 1967 (original name 33 Coupe).
In photos no.1 and no.2 of this lot the drawing was printed on an A3 sheet only as an example for the photos.
Printing conditions perfect.
With this drawing the coachbuilders first produced a 1:5 scale model for an aesthetic evaluation in the three dimensions of the project drawn on paper.
The construction of the model was done by cutting the various sections in plywood and assembling them with joints, the voids were filled, it was puttied, painted and some details such as headlights and wheels were added. Subsequently they proceeded with any aesthetic modifications and, in the end, built a 1:1 scale model used by the pattern makers/panel beaters to shape the aluminum sheets.
The drawing is supplied rolled, to avoid creases that would otherwise be visible if one wished to frame it, with careful packaging and shipping in Europe, excluding Great Britain.
