Anthony Dubois (XX) - Chess set

A work by the Franco-American pop-art artist Anthony Dubois.

A Vuitton chess board made of aluminum with a quirky design; the base is a gold antique board with the black Vuitton logos embedded along the edges and an antique glow. The playing squares are in antique gold and black and the characteristic Vuitton logos.

The chess pieces are painted in brown and gold and finished with HQ varnish.
The wooden chess box is brown with the Vuitton logos and finished with HQ varnish.

The board is 3mm thick and is brushed aluminum, which gives a colorful effect.

Bio of the artist:
Anthony Dubois born in France and living in the United States

Moved in 2001 to New York where he showed his work to a local art dealer who was blown away by his skills and style. The dealer offered to buy some of Anthony’s work and to help him showcase his work at local exhibitions. Anthony’s work gained popularity, and he began to receive more and more commissions.
His unique style caught the attention of art collectors and critics alike, and he soon began to make a name for himself in the art world.

Today, Anthony is a respected and accomplished artist with a studio in the heart of New York City. He continues to create works inspired by comics, colors and movies. His work has been exhibited in galleries all over the world.
