Baroque Andalusian polychrome red corner console, 18th century
Exclusive piece of magnificent craftsmanship. It presents a corner structure; the polychromy is original, preserved in red, combined with gold-leaf adornments.
Triangular shape with cabriole legs and a claw-and-ball finial. It comes from an exclusive Baroque collection in Córdoba. Other decorative elements are the botanical sprigs in the corners of the piece, such as the central garland. Surely, in its origin it served as auxiliary furniture in the sacristy of some important church, or even as a base for a mobile reliquary.
Made in the height of the Baroque period of the 18th century, in an Andalusian context known for its grand sculptural and altarpiece works.
It is perfect for placing in a living room, with vases or decorative pieces on top, or even as a nightstand in a master bedroom. Also suitable as an entry piece.
