Antique, ornately designed Biedermeier shadow box with the view of Kieslingswalde Castle (Polish Palac Slawnikowicach) in the Voivodeship of Lower Silesia (Slawnikowice, Gmina Zgorzelec), made of colorfully gilded papier-mâché, dried moss and paper. On the left under the trees a young couple meets, while a maid near the right edge performs outdoor housework. Behind glass. Dating: around 1850-1900. Dimensions: 32.5 x 43 cm, depth 6 cm. Condition: excellent, not opened. The piece comes from an aristocratic possession. Insured shipping.
