These are iron weights made from recycled cannonballs.

Such objects were in the 17th to 19th centuries often shaped into weights for a steelyard (type Roman statera or balance scale).
The balls sit in an iron cage with a hanging eye at the top, through which they can be hung on the balance arm of the scale.
They are often cannonballs from the 17th/18th century that have been adapted for civilian use.
Also sometimes used as counterweights or horse weights to prevent a horse from wandering off.
The ball has a diameter of 7.6 cm.
