Description from the seller
The Agfa Colorflex is a medium-format film camera produced in the 1950s by Agfa. It is a distinctive camera because it combines features of a folding camera with a reflex system, offering a more advanced approach than the traditional compact cameras of the era.
The design is distinctive: a compact body when closed, but with a bellows that extends when opened. This allows for a compact footprint without sacrificing optical quality. The build is solid, with a combination of metal and coatings that reflect the craftsmanship typical of Agfa.
The Colorflex is a reflex, so it allows framing through the lens itself. The viewfinder is a waist-level finder, positioned on the top, and provides a direct view of the scene, even though the image appears laterally inverted, as in mid-format reflex cameras of the era.
It uses medium-format film, offering negatives larger than 35mm and thus higher image quality, with more detail and a richer tonal rendition. This makes it suitable for more precise photography, such as portraits or landscapes.
