Germany, Nürnberg-Fürth 20 Pfennig Notgeld, emergency issue struck in aluminium in 1920, graded MS63 (NGC).
Description from the seller
GERMANY. Nuremberg-Fürth. 20 Pfennig. 1920.
- Value: 20 Pfennig.
- Year: 1920.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: urban architectural view with buildings and central tower, surrounded by the upper legend corresponding to the issuing city. Reverse: NÜRNBERG-FÜRTHER STRASSENBAHN · 20 PFENNIG, with the value centered within a beaded circle.
- Grade: MS63 (NGC).
Emergency Notgeld minted in aluminum during the German postwar period, of the characteristic polygonal shape, with a detailed depiction of an urban ensemble on the obverse, executed in a sober and functional style. The reverse presents a clear and symmetric composition centered on the face value, with robust and well-defined typography. A specimen with full relief, clean fields and original satin luster, showing minimal surface marks typical of the issue and fully coherent with its grade. A representative coin of the local German monetary system in the inflationary context of the early Weimar Republic.
Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to be absolutely clear that I do ship from Spain, which means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside the EU that has a special tax agreement (example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and it is completely out of our control. Thanks for your understanding.
