The item up for auction is a Kenzler model 3 typewriter. It has serial number 7625, which suggests a production year around 1910–1911. A very interesting model from a construction standpoint, particularly in terms of the typeface layout. The machine is functional and can be used to type—as shown in the photos—but it needs cleaning, adjustment, and lubrication. Not everything works perfectly (the type slugs do not retract fully, the ink ribbon does not always move correctly); a broken element is visible—the key on the right side needs repair, and the space bar is missing (likely made of wood).
