Description from the seller

Jema Holland iridescent earthenware fish figurine, model number 182, circa 1950-1960.
Elegant figurine depicting an exotic fish (fighter or veiltail style) in iridescent glazed earthenware with deep blue, violet and golden reflections. The body shows a subtle gradient from pearly white to intense blue, with finely veined fins and a raised golden eye. The wavy base evokes moving water. Piece signed "Jema Holland" and numbered 182 engraved under the base. Typical model from the Dutch Jema manufacture’s decorative animalier production.
Very good overall condition. A small discreet chip is present on the left flank (barely visible depending on the angle and light). No cracks or restorations. Some very light signs of use and patina in the recesses, perfectly normal for the age. The iridescent glaze retains all its shine and shifting reflections. Weight 500 g. Dimensions: height approx. 18 cm, length approx. 20 cm, depth approx. 11 cm.
Private Belgian collection.
