Commode clock - Junghans - Art Deco Wood, Brass - 1940-1950

Antique Junghans "Buffalo" Mantel Clock – 5-Rod Chime – Fully Serviced I am proud to present this exceptional example of German horology: a massive and majestic mantel clock (often called a "Buffalo" or "Napoleon Hat" style) from the renowned Junghans manufacture. This timepiece is a true survivor, remaining in stunning condition after more than 100 years. Technical Excellence & Condition Unlike many vintage clocks, this piece is ready for immediate enjoyment. It has just undergone a complete professional overhaul, including: Full disassembly of the movement. Ultrasonic cleaning of all parts. Precision oiling and calibration. Result: The clock keeps excellent time and the mechanical movement functions flawlessly. Design & Sound The clock features a substantial, heavy oak case with beautiful wood grain and elegant carvings, free from any significant damage. The dial is protected by its original convex (domed) glass, which adds a wonderful depth to the face. The highlight of this clock is its acoustic performance. Equipped with a 5-rod chime system (5 hammers), it produces a deep, rich, and very pleasant resonant tone that only high-quality antique movements can provide. Dimensions: Length: 66 cm Height: 24 cm Depth: 16 cm Shipping & Safety Note: To ensure the clock reaches you in the same perfect condition it leaves me, it will be prepared with the utmost care. The pendulum will be detached, and the suspension spring will be securely fixed for transport. Transparency Guarantee: Before packing, I record a short video demonstrating the clock’s movement and the sound of the chime. This serves as proof that the clock is in 100% working order at the time of dispatch, ensuring peace of mind for the buyer and avoiding any disputes regarding transit damage.
