Original Nederlandse Spoorwegen Departure Staff from 1930–1940, in good used condition with minor signs of aging, made of steel, weight 0.7 kg, 54 cm high, 18 cm wide, 5 cm deep, originating from the Netherlands.
Description from the seller
Original departure staff from the Dutch railways from the period 1930-1940. In perfect working condition. Used on train platforms at departure and arrival of trains. It is made of steel with a copper closure cap and it still has the original leather wrist strap. At the top there is a hinged lid with a locking cotter pin. Below are the green and red incandescent lamps. Just above the handle there is a swiveling chrome ring with an opening. If the opening is at the front and you press the yellow button the orange light will illuminate. If you turn the ring a half turn, the opening is at the rear; if you then press the yellow button the green light lights up. An ingenious invention. Two different battery sizes can be used. The original batteries with a diameter of 22 mm, which are somewhat hard to find. But you can also insert ordinary penlite batteries that fit into a plastic electrical tube (see last photo); that works perfectly as well. This lot has been carefully cleaned and will be carefully packed, sent by registered mail and insured (with Track & Trace code so you can track the shipment). Pickup in Ridderkerk, South Holland is also possible. I have delicious hand-ground coffee.
