It will be carefully packed and shipped with express courier and tracking.
Aldo Gentilini was born in Genoa in 1911; from a young age he felt a strong religious vocation that led him to enter the cloistered monastery of Pietrasanta, where he remained for three years pursuing philosophical studies, then dedicating himself as a self-taught artist to artistic research, which would lead him to exhibit in numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad.
A man of faith, he believes that only through art can the divine be reached. And this thought will underlie all his work: "I try to empty myself – Gentilini said – This emptiness provokes a certain catharsis: I observe sensitive values that I respect, reevaluate them, but I never know how I will fall into the painting, and this is the realization of a truth toward the sign never thought."
He was an artist practicing asceticism, to imitate the Saint to whom he was devoted. The two natures, the human and the aesthetic, coincide perfectly.
