Official Monaco Euro coin set for 2002, issued by the Monnaie de Paris under authorization of the Principality of Monaco. The set is in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) quality and housed in its original official mint card. The set contains the complete series of 8 circulating euro coins (1 cent to 2 euro). The reverse of all coins features the common Eurozone design framed by the twelve stars of the European Union. The obverse designs are uniquely Monegasque: 1, 2, and 5 cents – the Coat of Arms of the Grimaldi family 10, 20, and 50 cents – historic seal of H.S.H. Prince Rainier III, used since 1950 1 euro – double effigy of H.S.H. Prince Rainier III and the Hereditary Prince Albert 2 euro – effigy of H.S.H. Prince Rainier III All coins are uncirculated BU and were not released for general circulation. This official coin set had a limited mintage of 40,000 sets.
