Skeletal water-mill clock, ca. 2022, in gilded brass, industrial style, with a glass case and working order, UK origin, 46 cm high, 41 cm wide, 25 cm deep, weighing 12.8 kg and complete with winding key.
Description from the seller
Skeleton clock, so-called, water-mill clock, with a large water wheel and steel balls. This industrial clock has a large paddle wheel on the right side with small steel balls. The weight of these balls powers the clock. The time is read on a large porcelain dial with black Arabic numerals. Every minute a small ball falls from the water wheel onto a rail, where the steel ball rolls to the left. The water tower with a large spiral column picks up the balls one by one and lifts them up. Every 60 seconds a steel ball falls from the left tower onto the channel to the water wheel. This cycle repeats as long as the clock runs. The clock has a pendulum at the back to regulate the time. The entire operation of this clock is just like a water wheel, only the “flow” of the balls goes through the channel and there is a clock on the large water wheel.
The clock is protected by a glass case with a door at the front.
The clock measures 46 cm high, 41 cm wide and 25 cm deep, including the glass dome/cover.
The original was made by Peter Bonnert.
This is a beautiful reproduction, made in China.
The clock comes with a clear user manual/instructions in English (translated with Google Translate).
The operation is shown on YouTube: https://youtu.be/WPeSsWwXyMI
The Skeleton clock is safely packed and shipped in two parcels, insured with track & trace.
The glass cap/hood is sent in a separate package.
Shipping costs are therefore somewhat higher!!!
