Product Description
For sale is a special collector’s item from German hi-fi history: a Thorens TD 146 in an extraordinary and rare factory version with the original gold-colored aluminum top plate.
This noble look, usually reserved for the limited “Jubilee” series, is absolutely authentic on this TD 146. The original Thorens sticker with serial number and the manufacturing location Lahr (Made in Germany) is firmly affixed to the gold plate, confirming factory delivery in this combination.
Condition & Restoration:
The turntable has been professionally inspected and optimized for long-term operation:
End stop restored: The LED responsible for the opto-electronic end stop has been replaced with a new part. The automatic function now operates precisely and reliably again.
Maintenance: The unit has received a new drive belt to ensure perfect steady rotation. The Thorens is fitted with an Ortofon FF15 EO MKII cartridge.
Appearance: The gold top plate is in very good condition (see close-up photos).
Accessories: Includes the original dust cover. The supplied power supply is a suitable replacement (not the original Thorens), which has been technically tuned to the device specifications.
