Important antique travel trunk, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, made of wood covered and reinforced with wooden slats and brass hardware, typical of trunks used for long journeys and ocean crossings of the era.
The structure is solid and robust, clad in green material (probably canvas or treated leather), with elegant dark wooden reinforcements and numerous metal studs that increase its durability and characterize its aesthetics. The corners are protected by brass corner guards, while the front features an original central lock and two side locks.
On the sides there are recessed brass handles, designed to facilitate transport. The overall ensemble clearly recalls trunks used on transoceanic and railway journeys between the 19th and early 20th centuries.
The trunk is perfect both as a collectible object and as a furnishing element, ideal as a blanket chest at the foot of the bed, a coffee table, or a decorative container in vintage, industrial or classic interiors.
