Centrepiece bowl in Radica di Tuia burl wood, finished to a glossy patina with a vibrant grain and dark tonal range, dimensions 11 cm depth, 11 cm width, 23.5 cm height, dating to 1970–1980, made in Italy, and in good used condition with minor signs of age.
Description from the seller
YEW BURL CENTERPIECE BOWL – DRAMATIC FLAME-VEINING
Elegant yew burl centerpiece bowl, turned on a lathe and characterized by an extraordinarily vivid grain, with deep flame markings, natural figuring and a tactile, flowing movement typical of this precious timber. Yew is known for its compact fiber and its intense decorative pattern, capable of creating warm, vibrant, and three-dimensional surfaces. In this specimen, the burl expresses its full chromatic richness, with tones ranging from amber honey to deep brown, enhanced by a polished finish that brings out light and depth.
The form is classic and harmonious: a broad hemispherical bowl with a slightly outturned rim, supported by a solid, full central foot, with balanced proportions. A diameter of 23.5 cm and a height of 12 cm make it compact yet dramatic, perfect as a fruit stand riser or as a decorative element on a table, sideboard, or desk.
Very good condition. It shows slight signs of time consistent with its age and use, which do not compromise stability or aesthetic yield. Solid structure, perfectly stable, intact surface with a beautiful natural patina.
A piece with strong visual presence, ideal for both classic and contemporary settings where authentic material and artisanal quality are sought.
Photos are an integral part of the description. Guaranteed careful packaging entrusted to professionals in the field.
