The Glenfarclas distillery was founded at the end of the 18th century, and has been in the hands of the Grant family ever since 1865. Glenfarclas 18 Years Old is an excellent sheried dram, originally released as a Travel Retail Exclusive to bridge the gap between the 15 and 21-year-old expressions. At 1 litre, this bottle may last a while too! The nose opens with aromas of fresh fruit, honeycomb, citrus, vanilla and raisins. The palate is rich and full with sweet flavours of toffee, almonds, raisins, prunes and hazelnuts, ending on a long and smooth finish with a touch of spicy oak.
