Magnificent Bandia/Nzakara sickle knife
Democratic Republic of the Congo
Max height: 73 cm
Max width: 8.5 cm
Period: late 19th century / early 20th century
Provenance: Danny De Waele - Belgium (dannytribalart)

From an old colonial collection and despite the worn top of the blade and the handle (beautiful patina), this Bandia-type sickle knife remains a very fine piece from the late 19th century. A black-and-white photograph of the knife on the wall of a collection from the 1970s will be provided to the purchaser.
