Description from the seller

The depicted object is a liturgical plaque in embossed and chased silver.

The style belongs to the 17th–18th centuries, Baroque, of colonial Spanish origin presumably Peru.

The sheet is silver not stamped but chemically tested with a specific liquid.

The plate is finely worked in repoussé and chasing with rich three‑dimensional decoration; the floral and vegetal motifs are typical of sacred silverware.

The initials (IHS) are very common in Catholic sacred art, indicating the name of Jesus; this is the monogram of Christ.

The figure placed at the center has features and garments typical of the Andean region.

The single silver sheet weighs about 500 grams.

We guarantee utmost seriousness; the object will be packed and shipped by qualified personnel.

Linnaean support restored.
