AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Antique wall mirror – Louis XV style, France (second half of the 19th century)
A richly decorated and imposing wall mirror executed in the elegant Louis XV style, manufactured in France in the second half of the 19th century. This mirror embodies the graceful and playful formal language of Rococo, with flowing lines and exuberant ornamentation.
The richly carved frame features a refined gilded finish, combined with contrasting dark accents that further emphasize the depth and detailing of the carving. The crowning element is formed by an asymmetrical cartouche with shell and foliate motifs, flanked by rocailles and finely worked floral and scroll ornaments.
The slender supports taper down elegantly and end in a subtly profiled lower rail, giving the piece a harmonious and balanced appearance. The mirror plate sits nicely within the frame and enhances the decorative character of the object.
A particularly representative piece that serves as a focal point in both classical and eclectic interiors.

Condition: good, with some small signs of aging and wear.
