Lego Set 6080 King’s Castle, 627 pieces with 12 minifigures, from Denmark, released in 1984, used but in very good condition, complete with original box opened and manual, featuring a working drawbridge and three connected baseplates.
Description from the seller
The LEGO set 6080 “King’s Castle” (in English “King’s Castle”) from 1984 is a legendary milestone of the Castle theme. It was the first large castle to be consistently built in gray instead of the previous yellow, introducing a more realistic look for the medieval theme.
Year of release: 1984, piece count: approx. 627 parts.
According to the Internet, this set belongs to the 10 most expensive “vintage” sets there are.
12 figures of the “Lion Knights” (Löwenritter), including 4 mounted knights and 8 soldiers with different weapons such as lances, swords and, for the first time, a bow.
The castle consists of three connected base plates. The two side wings can be folded back on hinges to expose the courtyard for play.
Features a functioning drawbridge (operated by a crank) and a heavy portcullis that can be raised with a rope.
Includes a Spartan room and a dungeon with a distinctive black grid door.
The walls are constructed so that minifigures can walk along them to defend the castle.
The set is “used” but in very good condition; it was never really played with, all the knights’ shields are still in top condition.
The castle was dismantled again, and all pieces were sorted as in the building instructions and packed separately in bags.
The original box and the building instructions are, for their age, used but in very good condition for their age; the set and the box are now 42 years old. For this age, the entire set is in excellent condition.
No part is missing, and all accessories are present and in very good condition. All functions, such as the drawbridge, work perfectly.
