Description from the seller
EXCEPTIONALLY WITHOUT RESERVE
Charming painting from the 20th century, oil on canvas, depicting an elegant equestrian scene with riders and hounds in a countryside landscape.
The composition clearly recalls the English painting tradition of aristocratic hunting, with figures in red jackets and horses depicted at a pause along a path immersed in nature.
The subjects are arranged with balance and harmony: in the foreground the horses, rendered with good anatomical accuracy, while the hunting dogs animate the scene with liveliness and a sense of movement.
The autumn landscape, characterized by warm golden tones and a soft, diffuse light, helps create a refined and decorative atmosphere, with trees and hills giving depth to the whole.
The brushwork appears fluent and pleasant, with a warm color rendering that enhances the entire composition, making the work particularly suitable for classical or distinguished rustic interiors.
Signature present in the lower right.
Ebony-finished wooden frame with gilded profiles, elegant and well proportioned, which frames and enhances the work.
Please note that, given the age of the piece, there may be small defects, breaks, or gaps: natural signs of time that attest to its authenticity and history.
Frames are complimentary and will not be considered an integral part of the lot in case of damage to them.
The photographs were taken under direct spotlight.
Our shipments are fast, professional, and with perfectly protected packaging: from this derive the corresponding shipping costs.
In accordance with current art regulations, no lot will be shipped outside Europe (Schengen area), unless private arrangements are at the buyer’s full expense; possible extra-EU shipments may be more expensive and subject to potential issues.
