Late Medieval silver openwork dress hook depicting a standing female figure to the right, dressed in a long flowing garment, accompanied by stylised foliate decoration to the left. -> Such dress hooks were used as functional fasteners for clothing, particularly in the 14th–15th century, and often combined utility with decorative and symbolic elements. The combination of figural and foliate ornament reflects the rich visual language of the period, where naturalistic and decorative motifs were closely intertwined.
