Three antique Khmer earthenware pots from the 12th century, with glazed and unglazed feet, in brown glaze, dimensions 12 × 7 cm, 8 × 7.5 cm and 7 × 5 cm, in good condition with minor signs of age, provenance from a private Dutch collection acquired in 2025.

Three pottery objects made by the Cambodian Khmer. These antique pots date from around 1200. Authentic handcraft with transitions from glazed to unglazed foot, lightly vitrified skin that fits wood-fired dragon kilns in the Angkor region. Nice wear and patina.
The people of Cambodia are called Khmer, and this type of pottery is named after them. The Khmer people have throughout history been a people with a great love for art, and that is still evident. Between the ninth and thirteenth centuries, Angkor, the Khmer empire, was the most powerful and prosperous empire in Southeast Asia, with unparalleled technique and architecture. In this period, these three objects were made.
The condition is wonderful; apart from age-related traces there is no damage.

Provenance: the objects come from a private collection of a Dutch collector. The details are known to the Dutch auction house where they were purchased. The auction house is familiar with the terms for sale of these artefacts. See last photo. The form is provided with the purchase and signed.
