Vase - Porcelain - China - Teadust Hu vase

Chinese teadust-glazed Hu vorm vase – Republic period JINGDEZHEN MARK Height: 8.5 cm A refined small Chinese vase covered in a beautiful teadust glaze, with a warm olive-brown tone and a smooth, even surface. The vase has a baluster shape with small applied handles on the shoulder, inspired by archaic bronze forms. The teadust glaze, known for its subtle speckled effect, was admired during the Qing dynasty for its resemblance to the color of fine tea leaves. This example shows excellent craftsmanship, with a soft sheen and rich texture that catches the light beautifully. The base shows a red seal mark within a recessed footrim. The vase is in excellent condition, with no cracks or restorations only minimal wear consistent with age. Dimensions: Height – 8.5 cm Diameter – approx. 5.8 cm Condition: Excellent condition. No chips, cracks, or restorations. Provenance: From a Dutch private collection. This is a lovely collector’s piece — elegant in form, rich in glaze, and perfectly representative of traditional Chinese ceramic artistry.
