Empatia arises from the blend between the great tradition of blown glass and Artemide's LED technology. The strong interest in the expressive potential of the material has led to collaborations with master glassmakers, to gain full control of the particular plasticity of Venetian glass and to work on the balance between surface and light, between subtle densities and transparencies.

As a result are objects clear, pure, which artisanal workmanship makes, in effect, unique pieces. Transparency and opacity are skillfully dosed to obtain glass that reflects and diffuses light without glare, without losing efficiency. The result is an optical machine whose heart is a high-performance LED light engine, which is housed separately from the glass emitting body to favor thermal and performance efficiency.
