Snuff bottle - Porcelain - Dragon iron red bottle
No. 102743360

Snuff bottle - Porcelain - Dragon iron red bottle
Chinese porcelain snuff bottle decorated in underglaze blue and iron-red, likely dating to the Qing dynasty, Early 20th century.
The bottle is finely painted with a powerful five-clawed dragon chasing a flaming pearl among clouds and waves, symbolising strength and imperial authority.
The combination of deep cobalt blue with iron-red highlights creates a striking and less commonly seen palette. The dragon is rendered with lively expression in the head, scales and claws, showing movement and energy. Floral and cloud motifs complement the scene and create a balanced composition.
The form is elegant and well proportioned, with a cylindrical body and short neck. The base is unmarked, with wear consistent with age and use.
Condition: in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration observed.
Dimensions: approx. 9 cm height and 3.4 cm width.
A decorative and collectible Qing dynasty snuff bottle with strong visual appeal and a popular dragon motif.
