Ervaar de weelde van Dalmore Luminary n°2 2024 Edition, een exclusieve toevoeging aan The Luminary Serie, een 3-jarige reeks verzamelbare limited edition single malts die uitzonderlijk talent uit de werelden van design en whisky viert, in samenwerking met het gerenommeerde ontwerpinstituut V&A Dundee.

Gecreëerd door architect en ontwerper Melodie Leung en The Dalmore Master Whisky Maker Gregg Glass in samenwerking met Master Distiller Richard Paterson OBE. Deze whisky en zijn ontwerp vertegenwoordigen de samensmelting van creativiteit en technische expertise - vorm die smaak inspireert, en smaak die vorm inspireert.

Het mooie verpakkingsontwerp van Leung is geïnspireerd op haar gesprekken over whiskyontdekkingen met Glass over smaak en aroma, en hoe verschillende elementen kunnen samensmelten om iets nieuws te creëren.

Het werk van Glass aan de whisky zelf werd geïnspireerd door hun gesprekken over reizen en wereldwijde keuken. De whisky wordt nog specialer door de subtiele toevoeging van uitzonderlijk zeldzame geturfde Dalmore, geïdentificeerd tijdens Leung en Glass' verkenning van Warehouse N°3 bij de distilleerderij. Dit geeft de spirit een uniek vleugje rook, een atypische eigenschap voor een Dalmore whisky.

Gerijpt in Amerikaanse witte eiken ex-Bourbon vaten, wordt de single malt afgewerkt in Graham's Tawny Port pipes en 30 jaar oude Apostoles sherry vaten, met een lichte toets van uitzonderlijk zeldzame geturfde Dalmore.

Proefnotities:
- In de mond: Manukahoning, crème brûlée en antiek leer, met delicate tropische tonen van granaatappel, guave en kersenbloesem.
- In de neus: Rijpe vijgen, Sevillaanse sinaasappels, bosvruchten, passievrucht, licht geroosterde Colombiaanse koffie, gefermenteerde zwarte limoenen en brioche.
- Afdronk: Vers geroosterde kastanjes, zoete houtkruiden, donkere cacao en Alphonso mango's met een delicate hint van kruidige houtrook.
