Round smoking table in mahogany with a hammered brass top, in Neo‑Empire Art Deco style, made in the United Kingdom, 77 cm high, 45 cm diameter, about 6 kg, in good used condition with minor signs of age.
Description from the seller
Round smoking table in Imperial style, dating to the early 1900s. It measures 77 cm in height and has a diameter of 45 cm; weight about 6 kg. The structure is in mahogany wood with a hammered brass top and is supported by columns with capitals and bases, also in brass, and a geometric foot. It is datable to the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and characterized by the classical lines typical of the Neo-Imperial style; the brass-covered top defines its use, which, being intended to support ashtrays and other smoking accessories, protected its surface from potential burns.
Perfectly preserved, it shows some signs of time, but overall it is in excellent condition, with no missing parts or fractures. Contemporary in all its parts and in original patina. A splendid testimony of the past, but at the same time a precious antique object of great decorative value, distinctive and collectible for its excellent state of preservation.
Shipping will be somewhat expensive due to the total weight; it will be fast and insured for the full value. The photos should be considered an integral part of the description. We do not ship outside Europe. At the end of the auction please check the message center where you will receive photos of the packing and instructions for receipt.
