Ceramic Art Deco pedestal vase with a geometric design in black glaze from the Manufacture de Faïences d’Art de Saint-Clément in Saint-Clément, France. The manufacture was founded in 1758 by Jacques Chambrette. Later Keller & Guérin from Lunéville took over the company. Saint-Clément produced, in addition to vases, also sculptures by François, Mayor, Fugère, and Lemanceau. This modernist vase dates from the period 1920-1930.
The vase is approximately 17.5 cm tall and has a diameter of about 17 cm.
The vase is in exceptionally good used condition and at the bottom is stamped in the glaze with the model number ‘9622’, ’S Clement’ and ‘France’ (see photos). We will soon also offer a white crackle version of this vase that is also in exceptionally good condition.
