Hanging lamp - Murano glass

Venetian Murano lantern characterized by a hand-blown opaline glass bulb enclosed in a decorative black wrought iron cage. The use of opaline glass, a milky translucence achieved by adding oxides or phosphates, is a traditional technique, famous especially for Murano objects. From the 2000s, it combines Murano glass craftsmanship with the sturdiness of worked metal. Milky white opaline glass (also known as milk glass) and wrought iron. The glass features an internal swirling pattern that adds depth and character, while the shaped iron cage has decorative scroll elements.
Height 35 cm, with chain 80 cm, diameter 22 cm. Weight 2 kg. Working and in excellent condition.
