Description :

Superb cream jug (cream pour) in sterling silver in the shape of a bull, a rare and sought-after model among collectors of “bull creamers” inspired by English 18th-century classics (such as John Schuppe).

German piece, late 19th - 20th century. Silver 800/1000 with visible hallmarks.
Details :

•  Hollow body, lid hinged on the back with a functional hinge
•  Finial shaped like a bee in relief on the lid (a rare and elegant variant of the traditional fly motif)
•  Curved tail serving as a handle
•  Pour from the mouth
•  Approx. dimensions: length 12-13 cm, height 8-9 cm
Beautiful antique patina. Overall good condition but one leg is broken (easily repaired by soldering at a silversmith).

Superbe crémier (verseuse à crème) en argent sterling en forme de taureau, modèle rare et recherché des collectionneurs de « bull creamers » inspiré des classiques anglais du XVIIIe siècle (comme John Schuppe).

Pièce allemand, fin XIXe - XXe siècle. Argent 800/1000 avec poinçons visibles.

•  Corps creux, couvercle articulé sur le dos avec charnière fonctionnelle
•  Finial en forme d’abeille en relief sur le couvercle (variante rare et élégante de la mouche traditionnelle)
•  Queue recourbée servant d’anse
•  Verse par la bouche
•  Dimensions approx. : longueur 12-13 cm, hauteur 8-9 cm
Belle patine d’époque. État général bon mais une patte est cassée (réparation simple par soudure chez un orfèvre).
