Description from the seller

Elegant Italian-made coffee table dating from the mid-20th century (circa 1950-1960). The piece stands out for the refined juxtaposition between the richness of natural stone and classic metalworking, fully in Hollywood Regency style.
The Top:
The top is made of precious natural multicolored onyx. Unlike common marble, onyx offers extraordinary translucency (visible when light passes through) and a color spectrum ranging from cream to amber, with deep rust-colored veining. The slab is solid and features a mirror finish, in excellent condition.
The Base:
The structure is finely chased cast brass with shell (rocaille) and acanthus leaf motifs, typical of Rococo/Louis XV style. The cabriole legs end in elegant hoof feet. The base retains its original patina, having been gently cleaned to preserve its historical charm.
Condition:
The piece is in excellent condition for its age. No cracks, chips, or restorations are reported on the onyx slab. The brass structure is solid and stable. As is traditional for this type of furniture, the slab rests on the base to avoid mechanical stress and preserve the stone’s integrity.
