This painting presents an interpretation of the geisha figure; instead of the traditional flowers and decorations of the classic hairstyle, I have inserted colorful, large butterflies to create lightness and movement and to give a fantastical dimension to the composition. The background is neutral—white near the face and a gleaming gold toward the outside of the canvas and along the edges. The canvas measures 30x24 cm, mounted on a wooden panel and remaining raised, creating a beautiful three-dimensional effect (the total size including the frame is 43x33 cm).
