Advertising sign - Enamel

The "Rate Face Powder" depicted on this sign was a popular cosmetics brand sold by Hirao Sanpei Shoten from the Meiji era to the early Showa era. Its distinguishing feature was its "pure lead-free" formula, and the cream-type "Rate Merry" and "Rate Goshiki Suigeko" (Rate Five-Color Water Makeup Powder) were particularly popular due to their convenience in combining skincare and makeup. Since the manufacturer went out of business in 1954 (Showa 29), this sign is believed to have been manufactured at least before 1954. Corrosion, stains, and wear due to rust and deterioration over time are visible. - Weight 335g - Size 60x11x1cm - Material enamel - Colour white x light blue - Shipping method JAPAN POST -------------------------- All taxes related to international shipping are the responsibility of the buyer.
