Description
Pair of decorative elements in solid wood, richly hand-carved, presenting a symmetrical composition with strong vegetal inspiration and an aesthetic framing of Baroque tradition.
The pieces showcase high-relief sculptural work, with great depth and detail, highlighting motifs of grape clusters, stylized leaves, fruits, and lateral volutes. This type of ornamentation was often used in ornate furniture or decorative architectural elements, such as cabinet finials, altars, sideboards, or wall structures.
The execution reveals artisanal techniques, with visible tool marks and organic modeling of the forms, lending authenticity and character to the piece. The balanced composition of the pair reinforces its original use as complementary elements.
The finish presents a dark brown tone, compatible with old varnish or wax treatment, enhancing the relief and natural wood texture.
