French brass travel clock with a mechanical 8-day movement and no strike, circa 1850–1900, measuring 8 × 5 × 4.5 cm and weighing 413 g, without winding key and in good antique condition with minor signs of aging.

Antique French Travel Clock (Carriage Clock) – Brass & Facet-cut Glass – France – circa 1900
Description:
A very fine and classic French travel clock (also known as pendule d'officier) in the beloved "Obis" version. These clocks were at the pinnacle of portable luxury and precision around the turn of the century.
- Case: Made of polished brass with the original patina. The clock is surrounded on all sides by five clear, facet-cut glass plates (front, back, both sides and top) through which the movement and escapement are beautifully visible.
- Dial: White enamel dial with clean black Roman numerals and blued steel hands. In excellent optical condition with no visible hairlines.
- Movement: High-quality 8-day French movement with an original platform escapement. Equipped with an "Anglaise" handle for transport.
- Dating: Late 19th century / early 20th century (circa 1890-1910).
Condition:
In good antique condition with slight signs of aging on the brass (see photos). The glass is intact. There is 1 broken pinacle. The winding key is missing.
