Prestigious Empire-Style Sideboard in Mahogany Feather Veneer and Black Marble – 19th Century
Splendid three-door, three-drawer sideboard in full Empire style, characterized by a monumental aesthetic and a refined material choice. The piece embodies neoclassical elegance, perfect for furnishing reception rooms or high-level professional offices.
Main Features:
Materials: Frame veneered in fine mahogany feather with symmetrically open-grain markings.
Top: Original black marble slab, intact, 3 cm thick, which lends authority and chromatic contrast.
Bronze Details: Richly decorated with gilt-bronze applications, including a large central laurel crown, palmette friezes on the drawers, capitals and bases of the columns finely chased.
Structure: The front is flanked by four solid columns resting on sturdy plinth feet. Original locks present with keys.
Condition:
The piece is presented in excellent overall condition. Spirit varnish enhances the natural luster of the mahogany. It shows no structural defects or missing bronze elements. (Note: If there are small scratches or signs of wear, it is best to mention them here for accuracy).
