Standing depiction of Mary with the Christ Child. The child rests against her chest while Mary holds him with both hands. Mary wears a crown and a long veil that falls down along the shoulders. The composition is slender, with soft folds in the garment and a subtle relief of winding flowering branches along the edge. The facial features are calm and restrained. The model is often attributed to Henri Bouriché and is known under the title Sedes Sapientiae.

Height 62 cm; in good overall condition with slight signs of aging and patina degradation, and small defects, e.g. on Mary’s crown.
