Description from the seller

A decorative, solidly worked bronze top piece in the Neo-Gothic style, datable to the 19th to early 20th century. The object impresses with its richly worked relief decorations featuring stylized quatrefoils and lily motifs (fleur-de-lis), characteristic of the Gothic idiom.
The hemispherical form with central perforation suggests an original use as a decorative finial or as a functional element of a larger object, for example as the cap of a rod, part of a candelabrum, or a decorative furniture- or architectural detail.
The surface shows an authentic, age-related patina in green and brown tones, underscoring the antique character. Minor signs of use and small irregularities are present and correspond to the age and use.
Details:
Material: Solid bronze
Style: Neo-Gothic
Era: 19th–early 20th century
Height: 8 cm
Diameter: 12.5 cm
Weight: 933 g
Condition:
Good age-appropriate condition with a beautiful patina. Minor nicks, soiling, and age-related traces present. No visible restorations.
Note:
The exact original function could not be determined unambiguously, but the form and workmanship point to a decorative finial or an element of a larger ensemble. The information above represents the seller's assessment only.
