Amerex AC-400 Stereo 8‑Track player, serial AC 400-0509, manufactured in 1973, tested and functional, very good condition, weight 9 kg, includes power cable, five 8-track cartridges and two new JVC 6.5-inch speakers, total of eight items.

Amerex AC-400 Stereo 8-Track (1974) + new JVC speakers + 5 8-track cartridges | Works perfectly
Nice vintage 70s audio system, complete and functioning perfectly.
Main equipment:
• Amerex AC-400 Stereo 8 Tape Player, made in Hong Kong in 1974 (typical model from the golden era of 8-tracks). Includes volume, balance, bass and treble controls. Operates at 100% (tested with all cartridges). “Made in Hong Kong” visible on the lower front.
Speakers:
• The original wooden speakers have been replaced with two new 6.5” JVC speakers, which noticeably improve sound quality and power (clearer and better response than the originals).
Included cartridges (5 units 8-track):
• Jacques Brel – Amsterdam
• Mozart – Die Zauberflöte (Grosse Querschnitt) with Otto Klemperer, Schwarzkopf, Gedda, etc.
• Mozart – The Six Last Symphonies Vol. 3 with Herbert von Karajan (Berlin)
• Tchaikovsky / Mendelssohn – Violin Concertos with Kogan and Silvestri
• Les Chefs-d’Oeuvre Eternels (Beethoven, Mozart, Haendel, Vivaldi, etc.) with French and Luxembourgish orchestras
Also included:
• Original power cable

Very good overall condition for its age. The player is clean and operates without problems. The cartridges are used but play correctly. The speakers are new.
