Omaggio a Lionel Messi

In Aura, the Italian artist fotello translates Messi’s magnetic presence into a visual language that blends urban energy and digital refinement. The figure emerges from a dark background, almost absorbed and at the same time projected into space, as if movement itself leaves a tangible trace. The athlete’s body is not simply represented: it is disassembled, layered, rebuilt through painterly trails and chromatic fragments that suggest speed, instinct, and absolute control.

The style is a powerful hybrid between street art and hyper-detailed rendering: graffiti, drips, and gestural marks coexist with an extremely sharp rendering of the figure, creating a visual contrast that amplifies the tension between chaos and precision. The lines are dynamic, almost vibrating, guiding the gaze along a fluid trajectory that culminates in the technical gesture.

The color palette is intense and identity-defining: blue and red dominate the composition, exploding in saturated, luminous accents that evoke passion and belonging. fotello (Carrara, 1981) is a contemporary artist who works between painting and digital art.
Growing up in a family environment strongly connected to artistic tradition—the grandmother was the artistic director of the Academy of Fine Arts of Carrara—he developed from childhood a deep sensitivity toward the visual arts.

After studies in the artistic field, from 2001 he began a personal research that combines painting techniques and digital tools, establishing himself as an author recognizable for his style and the ability to fuse tradition and innovation. His digital works, signed under the pseudonym fotello, explore the borders between imagination and technology, always keeping the human and creative element central.

Parallel to this, he pursues modern painting, with particular attention to abstraction, understood as a language capable of evoking emotions and meanings not immediately decipherable.

His works, both painterly and digital, are part of private collections in Italy and in several European countries.
