Sculpture in marble powder depicting Poseidon, (in Roman Neptune) the Greek god of the sea and earthquakes. His figure is often depicted with a mighty trident, symbol of his dominion over the oceans, and sometimes surrounded by horses, animals especially associated with him. His presence evokes power, but also majesty and the unpredictability of natural elements.
