Description from the seller
Gary Cole & Hugh Hefner - Playboy - The Celebrities - Schirmer Mosel - 2006 - German - 176pp. - Hardcover with dust jacket - 31 x 23 cm - there is writing in the book (see photos); the inside is in good condition
The success story of Hugh Hefner's Playboy, after half a century still uninterrupted, has not only to do with the interesting interviews to which people so readily refer. It is of course not only, but above all the photos - to put it simply: the photos of naked women. Of course you see them also in all kinds of other somewhat erotic glossy magazines. And in some of these magazines you certainly find artistically refined photos by famous photographers who hardly pale in comparison to those in Playboy. But no one has managed to persuade so many stars to pose fully nude or scantily dressed in erotic poses as Playboy. If you want to know why, you will find the answer in this beautifully illustrated book, which reviews five decades of Playboy through the photos of prominent contemporaries.
And since then countless stars have stripped for the photographers of the magazine (among others: John Derek, Herb Ritts, David LaChapelle, Richard Fegley): Anita Ekberg (1956) or Ursula Andress (1965), but also Melanie Griffith (1976), Raquel Welch (1979), Bo Derek (1980), Kim Basinger (1983), Madonna (1985), Brigitte Nielsen (1987), Farrah Fawcett (1995), Nancy Sinatra (1995), Naomi Campbell (1999) or Anna Nicole Smith (2001), to name just a few celebrities collected here. Some undressed first for Playboy and then became famous, such as Cindy Crawford (1988) or Pamela Anderson (1991, 1992, 1994).
